When is payment due and what forms of payment are accepted? HouseGuard policy is that payment is due upon completion of the inspection. Acceptable forms of payment are Cash and Checks made out to HouseGuard.
How long does a home inspection take? The average home inspection takes approximately 2 - 3 hours from start to finish. A very large home (greater than 3000 square feet) may take longer depending on the systems installed and the condition of the home.
When do I receive the inspection report? HouseGuard policy is that our reports are delivered to you upon completion of the inspection. The inspector will review the report with you and answer any questions you may have.
Do I follow the inspector around during the home inspection? We encourage the client to follow the inspector during the course of the home inspection. You will receive valuable information on the property's areas of concerns as well as it's assets. The house systems will be explained to you and maintenance advice discussed.
Can I request a specific inspector? If you have previously worked with an inspector you are comfortable with or have been recommended to a specific inspector, we will do our best to accommodate you. However, each inspector has their own schedule and may not be available at your requested date and time.
